Malikhaing Pinoy Creative Expo 2025

 


    I attended the Malikhaing Pinoy Creative Expo 2025 on its 4th day, and it was an unforgettable experience. The event showcased nine booths from different brands and organizations, each highlighting Filipino creativity through art, food, games, and culture.




    One of the highlights was a seminar on Creative Entrepreneurship for Creative Education by Ms. Narcisa B. Gatchalian of UNESCO. She shared how creativity helps us market products, how Filipinos thrived during the pandemic, and even prepared an interactive activity for all participants.



    From this event, I learned that creativity must be paired with passion, professionalism, hard work, and preparation to truly succeed. The freebies, food, and engaging activities made the experience fun and memorable—not just for me but for everyone who attended.





    For future expos, I suggest adding a job fair or internship booth to help students connect with companies and turn creativity into real career opportunities. Overall, it was an inspiring and worthwhile experience that made me proud to be Filipino.

  Youth and Cybercrime: Awareness and Prevention                Last September 30, 2025, I had the opportunity to attend and help organize a seminar at Gordon College entitled  “Youth and Cybercrime: Awareness and Prevention.”  The event was conducted by the Office of Student Welfare and Services (OSWS) in collaboration with student organizations such as COMMSOC, IMAGES, and SPECS.                The seminar focused on the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 (RA 10175) and was discussed by our resource speaker, PSSg. Princess Rowie D. Garcia. She shared different types of cybercrimes commonly experienced in the Philippines, including scams, identity theft, catfishing, and online blackmailing.
