Last October 21, 2025, I had the opportunity to attend the Skydev’s Hack, Play, & Learn Summit 2025 held at Harbor Point Activity Center, Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Olongapo City.
This experience really opened my eyes to how wide and important the tech field is, especially in areas like cybersecurity, game development, and UI/UX design. One of the biggest takeaways for me was how important it is to stay safe online—protecting personal data, using strong passwords, and being aware of digital threats that we often ignore in everyday use.
What I liked the most about the event is that it wasn’t just focused on technical discussions. It also showed that these topics are not only for IT professionals, but for everyone who uses technology daily. Even simple habits like being cautious with links, managing accounts properly, and thinking before sharing online can already make a big difference.
Aside from cybersecurity, I also gained insights in game development and UI/UX design. I learned that starting simple is important and that creativity and user experience play a big role in building effective digital products.
Grateful for this experience and for all the knowledge I gained. This is definitely something I will apply in my everyday digital life and future projects.
