          Last October 21, 2025, I had the opportunity to attend the Skydev’s Hack, Play, & Learn Summit 2025 held at Harbor Point Activity Center, Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Olongapo City.           This experience really opened my eyes to how wide and important the tech field is, especially in areas like cybersecurity, game development, and UI/UX design. 4th Regional Cybersecurity Conference 2025           Last October 3, 2025, I had the opportunity to attend the “4th Regional Cybersecurity Conference 2025” held at Holy Angel University, Pampanga.            This experience really opened my eyes to how important cybersecurity is in our daily lives. One of the most striking lessons for me was how easily our personal data can be exposed and exploited if we are not careful. The discussions about cyber hygiene, data privacy, and protecting our digital identity made me realize that being online comes with real responsibilities.           What I liked the most is that the conference didn’t just focus on technical topics—it reminded us that cybersecurity is for everyone, not just IT experts.   Youth and Cybercrime: Awareness and Prevention                Last September 30, 2025, I had the opportunity to attend and help organize a seminar at Gordon College entitled  “Youth and Cybercrime: Awareness and Prevention.”  The event was conducted by the Office of Student Welfare and Services (OSWS) in collaboration with student organizations such as COMMSOC, IMAGES, and SPECS.                The seminar focused on the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012 (RA 10175) and was discussed by our resource speaker, PSSg. Princess Rowie D. Garcia. She shared different types of cybercrimes commonly experienced in the Philippines, including scams, identity theft, catfishing, and online blackmailing. She also explained the challenges faced by authorities, such as the slow process of handling cases due to limited technology and equipment.              ...
